Thoreau Birth House Undergoes
Restoration, Fundraising Continues
|
| |
Now that the Trust has obtained title to the Thoreau birth house, construction is well underway! The foundation has been repaired, the new reproduction windows are in, and clapboards will be going up soon. We expect the restoration and rehabilitation project to last until at least the end of the year. In the meantime, we are still $150,000 from our $1 million goal. We need to reach this goal to finish the work --
you can help save this important landmark.
